Emily is a new resident of Washington State, having previously lived in Memphis, Tennessee; Cleveland, Ohio; and her hometown of Buffalo, New York. She began her nursing career in 2020 at a large pediatric hospital in Cleveland, where she cared for children and their families in both the cardiac intensive care unit and the cardiac step-down unit.
After earning her Master’s degree as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from Kent State University, Emily and her partner relocated to Memphis, where she worked as a pediatric epilepsy nurse practitioner at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital Neuroscience Institute. During her time at Le Bonheur, Emily cared for children with neurologic conditions and epilepsy, working closely with families both local to Memphis and those who traveled from across the country to receive specialized care. She found it incredibly rewarding to learn from her patients, their families, and her fellow healthcare providers. Emily is passionate about building trusting relationships with families and empowering parents with the knowledge and support they need to help their children thrive. As a new provider at Shine Pediatrics, she is excited to partner with families throughout the Seattle area to support them during their child’s growth and development.
Outside of work, Emily and her partner, Logan, enjoy exploring their new home in the Pacific Northwest and discovering all the region has to offer. She enjoys hiking, reading, painting, traveling, and spending time outdoors whenever possible.
